Alex quickly covered himself and knelt in front of Kimberly’s feet. He evened the polish with the applicator brush, first, and then touched the faint marks on her toe with the remover solution before blotting them with the paper towel. When he was done, Kimberly looked it over. “Blow it dry.” Alex brought his lips close, and soft, sustained tufts of air tickled her toes. She wiggled her foot. “Next.” Alex dipped the brush in and, this time, painted the inside of the bottle to reduce the amount of polish on the brush before beginning. He was learning. He meticulously brushed the nail of her middle toe.
