12 They pulled Silas through the caves; most of the manmade tunnels were left behind. He stumbled a few times, cursing his now mortal weakness. His body was bruised and ached from the battle he just had with the Elemental. He now he had to endure it like a human. It made him sick. Occasionally Coth would strike out with his hand and hit Silas in the back of the head or his back. Each blow was like a hammer. He was sure he had a concussion and a severe headache to prove it. Each time Coth struck his back he thought his spine might shatter.
