"Mother?" he called. Breakfast was kept ready, and he sat at the kitchen counter. He waited for his mother to come and serve him, or she would be really upset and would start crying and say things about his dead sister. He didn't want that. Not today. He had an important meeting today afternoon and didn't want to go to it upsetting his mother. "Have one more," said his mother while affectionately serving her her delicious artwork of culinary delight which he adored. His mother smiled fun-mockingly. "Hmm...Important. Yes, of course...meeting Simran is important." "Mother," he said and felt the surge of blush filling his cheeks. She saw the redness spreading and smiled. "She is a good girl. I like her." Simran was his college mate and he looked forward to the day he would bring her home
