It was remarkable how quickly a bunch of strangers could start to feel like a coherent group. Even though I hadn’t really made any friends, there was a different atmosphere when I sat down in the large meeting room again. From the name badges, I could tell people were no longer sitting with the apprentices from their own conservations and instead, new cliques had formed.
