The physician had checked Daniel's temperature and advised that Daniel should rest well. Daniel insisted that she wants to be left alone after being escorted back to her quarters by Arthur.
Daniel remained alone in her quarters.
She sat near the window, staring at the evening sky.
Her mind would not stop thinking about what Arthur had said.
I can’t bear seeing you with another man.
The words replayed again and again inside her head.
At first, she thought he said it because of anger.
But now, sitting in silence, she began to understand something deeper…that he was being jealous.
Daniel’s heart beat faster as the realization settled in. She had only thought that Arthur was only infatuated with her and when the time comes, it will fade away…she never thought he would
