The palace had finally grown calm after
Daniel was safely rescued by Selena. Everyone in the palace started singing praises of how she was brave and kind hearted to Daniel.
After being rescued, Daniel had been taken to a quiet room in the medical wing. Even though she insisted she was not badly hurt, Damon refused to leave her side until the physicians checked her completely.
He stood near the bed, speaking calmly with the doctor while Daniel sat quietly, still shaken from the attack.
Damon’s voice was gentle.
“You did well. You stayed calm.”
Daniel gave a small nod. “Thank you for helping me.”
Damon smiled slightly. “It is part of my duty.”
He handed her a cup of water, while standing close to her.
