Arthur’s POV The more I tried to ignore the unsettled feelings about Daniel, the worse it became. It followed me through council meetings, training sessions, sleepless nights. It crept into my thoughts when I least expected it— it felt quiet, yet persistent, and dangerous. And now… it demanded answers. Daniel had lied to me countless times. Not once. Not twice. Just a few days back, she went to get herbs, she was sneaking around hiding from a merchant like someone who has seen her nemesis and she thinks I don't know. Today, I must get to the bottom of all these. The palace dungeon was quiet, thick with the smell of damp stone and fear. Torches burned low along the walls, their flames flickering as if uneasy.
