The palace gardens were peaceful in the early morning.
The soft sunlight touched the flowers and green trees, and a gentle breeze carried the scent of roses through the air.
Servants moved quietly in the distance, tending the plants and sweeping the stone paths.
But despite the calm surroundings, Daniel’s heart was still restless about the rumor and Arthur's words to her.
She walked slowly along the narrow garden path, her hands clasped together tightly.
Her mind kept returning to Arthur’s words from the previous night.
“Whatever secret you are hiding… you don’t have to face it alone.”
Those words had shaken her deeply.
