Arthur’s POV Before I could think, before the walls of etiquette and command could restrain me, I already leaned forward. I kissed him. The shock on his face was immediate…he wasn't expecting this to happen. And yet, it didn’t stop me. His body was soft under my hands, delicate, and a perfect contradiction to the role he played in my kitchen. I could feel the tension in him, the surprise, the fear, and… something else.
