Never going to change

Andrea knew it was too good to be true to hope her mom would be on her side. As she listened to her parents conversation her fits started to ball up. Her mom hadn't came to tell her dad to just let her go, she came to throw her friends under the bus for not coming to his office as he had ordered. It took all of her self control to nit say anything. When her dad told her that he had it under control she turned around to face them. Agreeing with herself that if she made her mom mad enough she would insist she not be around her for a few days leaving her father no choice but to let her go patrol. "Mom, as I told dad it was all my idea they followed my orders. There is no reason to punish them when they haven't done anything wrong. I'm taking the punishment for it. There is no need to try and get more trouble started." Her mother held her gaze without saying a word. Andrea knew she wouldn't say it out loud, she never did. She use to tell everyone when she was younger her uncle raised her while her parents raised her brothers, when the would question her why she was so much different than they were. When her mother left Andrea looked over at her father, she could tell he was mind linking someone probably her mother. When she got a mind link herself from Ida she knew her mother was indeed the communicating with her father. 'Everything okay in there? The Luna came back in furious, she told us that we'll be starting our patrol earlier.' Andrea knew her mother would have a tantrum but also knew she'd be all too eager to get her out of her face for a week. She didn't however think she would make them start sooner than they needed too. "Why is she like this?" She asked her father as she rubbed her eyes with her finger and thumb trying not to go say something to her mother and make the situation worse. Her father may be the alpha but her mother's words were always final. Her father sighed and walked back over to his desk. "You wanted to make these decisions without talking it over with me, your punishment is guarding the borders starting today until the king leaves." He ignored her question as he always did. Then added, "You're friends will join you today. I will be sending Jaxon out the day of the kings arrival to inform you so you can keep yourself away from the party and from being seen. Your mother doesn't want anything to go wrong for the whole week. If anyone or anything comes on our lands it's your job to keep them from getting too far, if you can't handle this task you and your friends will be stripped of your warrior titles and will be considered omagas." Andreas jumped out of her seat. She had never been so mad at her father before but this was like asking her to die while pleasing her mother. She quickly masked her anger and slowly said, "If you think just us four can stop a full on attack without asking for help and disrupting you or your mate then you are sadly mistaken. And if you go through with her petty threats you can consider yourself free of me, because I'll leave the pack myself and I'm sure my friends will follow me. Then you can finally be rid of me as she so desperately wants. As of now all I am is a warrior of the pack, no longer your daughter. I'll be addressing you both as everyone else in the pack does. I'll head home and gather my stuff for my duties have a good day alpha. I'll be sure to let Ida-Mae, Mika, and Chryseis not to contact anyone if something happens. I'll report to Beta Bay before we leave." With that she walked out of his office, not before running into her so called mother in the kitchen talking to her brothers. "I'm sure you heard everything that was said, and I'm sure you are happy with yourself Luna. But my word is as true as they come. You finally don't have a daughter to worry about anymore, don't check up on me, and don't come running to me when you made the next person mad and can't handle it on your own. I'm going home to get my stuff ready and I'll be gone until the ming leaves like you want. I'll try my best to make sure nothing causes any disruptions to your party." Her mom never expected her to disown them as her family and she could see it all over her face. Andrea looked over at her brothers who both looked confused. "Alpha has informed me our punishment for volunteering to guard the borders during the kings visit is we are to leave today, and not return until he leaves. Also if we don't stop any and all threats before they cause a disturbance me and the other three will stripped of our warrior titles and be considered omegas." She looked over at the Luna and cooked her eyebrow up knowing that was a threat from her. "He can't do that!" Ashton said. "None of you are of omega blood. Ida-Maes family have always been warriors, Mikas may they rest in peace were warriors for the red moon pack until they joined ours, and Chryseis is of beta blood." The Luna never thought about either of her brothers taking her side but especially not Ashton who will ne the new alpha within the week. Ashton looked over at his mother realizing these threats were her doings and sighed. "Mom?" He asked her, not waiting on her to answer he continued. "You can't punish them for doing something that was asked of them. They are the best warriors this pack has, I'm going to assume Andrea would rather die or leave then lose her passion." Andrea shook her head agreeing with him. "As much as I'd love for her to be here for the party, she would rather make sure everyone else was safe with all the attacks we have lost a lot of good warriors. none of the others would be able to hold off an attack like the four girls can." He sighed and looked at his sister, "Disown them, I don't blame you. But know that once I become acting alpha of this pack you and the others will not have to worry about those threats. And if anything happens while you're out there contacted me and I'll be sure to send help." He smiled at his sister. Proud that she did so much when she was given such a shitty hand and everyone was so hard because she was passed over for as beta, but they didn't know is she was his first pick and turned him down. Once he becomes alpha she'll be in charge of the warriors and all that comes with it. Knowing at least one of her brothers were on her side, Andrea make her happy. Ashton never stood up for her before, not that she ever needed him to. Walking back to her house to house to get her stuff she smelled something she didn't recognize, changing her course she walked towards the woods to investigate what the smell was. Mind linking her friends to let them know there was a possible threat close by, before she shifted and followed the scent.
