Chapter two Kidnapped Tyra’s POV “Is anybody in here?” I heard an unfamiliar masculine voice and my heart almost fell out of my body. I sat down slowly on the floor,my legs crossed against one another and put my hands on my ears to calm myself down, and I started saying a prayer. I was not sure what was happening but I knew it was related to the argument that my father and mother had in the morning. I was too scared to speak because I was not sure who was outside. I clutched tightly onto my teddy bear, my mouth and hands trembling in terror. I heard footsteps get louder, as the person approached the wardrobe area. I swallowed hard, my mouth dry and I summoned “M-mom?” I stuttered while shaking. The person on the outside did not reply. Instead, the door of the wardrobe was pulled open and a man stood over me. He was big, and his face was covered with a ski mask. He had a gun in his hands and his shoes were covered with blood. “Oh, you are a baby girl.” “I am not a baby. I am ten!” “Oh hi, ten years old girl. My name is Jhorta and you?” I did not answer him, I just waited to know what next he would say because I did not trust strangers. My mom always warned me against them. But his name rang a bell. My parents mentioned his name when they were arguing earlier. He stretched out his hand for me to use it as a support and get up but I did not want to. I just stared at him, staring at his face and his outfit. He was dressed in all black, and had a brown jacket over his dress. “Sir, I am sorry but I cannot come up with you. My mom told me never to talk to strangers.” He laughed out loud, and it sent shivers down my spine. “You are just as strong headed as your father. Do not worry, I would shapen you soon enough.” With those words, he forcefully pulled me out of the wardrobe and straightened me out. My teddy bear left my clutch and fell down. “Teddy-“ I bent down to pick it up and he moved in front of me,using his boots to step on my teddy bear. “Stop stepping on my teddy!!!” I yelled, hitting his feet. He ignored me and stomped harder on my teddy, smudging it,and tearing it apart. The blood form his shoes stained my teddy bear. Hot tears rolled down from my eyes and I shouted in anger and frustration. “Why would crush teddy?” “Because girls your age do not need a stuffed animal to be able to live.” He pulled me up to my feet and tossed me to the side. “Put on your sweater, you are coming with me.” “No!” I sat on the side of the room, my arms crossed over my chest. I did not know where my courage was coming from but I loved it. I gritted my teeth, anger clouding my mind. “Did you just say no?” His voice was scary and baritone. He was clearly trying to intimidate me but I grew up with three brothers. I was used to being intimidated. “I am not going anywhere with a stranger. Where is my mommy?” He looked at me from head to toe, in silence before he launched at me and picked me up, dragging me on the ground and out of the room. “Arghh!!! Leave me alone! I want my mother.” I nagged out and screamed, kicking. He pulled me across the hallway. We passed my brothers room and I noticed that the lights were on and there was a long trail of blood. There were some men with masks holding a black bag and pulling it to one side. I felt numb. I stopped whining and started observing in silence. The man pulling on me stopped when we entered the living room. I looked around and my jaw dropped. There was blood everywhere and I saw the worst thing any child would want to see. I saw something that would remain plastered in my memory all my life. The biggest trauma of my life. It was the lifeless body of my mother and father laying next to each other. I was cold to my bone and nothing was making sense anymore. “Is she part of their family too. Do we need to take care of her too?” One of the masked men said while c*****g his gun. I jumped in fear because I thought that he was going to shoot me. “No no, leave her. She is still young and I will handle her.” The man who c****d the gun nodded and left. “Get up!” Jhorta ordered me and I followed him to a car. We entered and he handed me a piece of clothe. “Use this to tie up your eyes. No peaking.” I started crying again, this time wailing out. “Wh-where are you taking me to?” “Your new home on the other side of the world.” The car ride was bumpy and it lasted for a long time before we came to a halt. “Untie your blind fold.” I was in awe by what I saw. The environment looked very crazy, with different signs on the walls, the paintings looked bad and there were masked people all around. I saw some people with guns, while some were holding other dangerous weapons. It was still dark out but the day was misty, so I could not make out what I saw. “Where am I?” I asked Jhorta as he held my hand, walking me into the house. “Like I said, your new home.” “I don’t want to stay here!” “You have no choice,Tyra.” He said my name. How did he know my name? I did not tell him anything. “How do you know my name?” “From today, you go by Tripper Tyra and you are officially part of the Trippers Mafia gang.”
