Ethan's expression had gone far beyond merely looking ugly.
"Blake, this is a family matter."
Blake acted as though he hadn't heard him. He walked straight over to me while his bodyguards stepped forward in perfect understanding, blocking Ethan's men from getting any closer.
He crouched down in front of me and reached out. His long fingers lightly brushed away the water droplets on my cheek.
"Tsk. Such a beautiful face. What a shame to see it end up like this."
Then Blake stood and looked at Ethan with an openly provocative smile.
"Mr. Scott, if I remember correctly, you just said you didn't want her anymore. If she's trash you've thrown away, then it shouldn't be a problem if I pick her up, right?"
The sound of Ethan grinding his teeth echoed through the room.
