How was today?" Elena mum asked .
"It was okay"Elena replied as she sat on the dinning chair waiting for the meal
"Did you get to meet Mrs peter ?" Mrs Thompson asked as she placed a plate of macaroni on the table.
"She wasn't around" she replied
"Maybe try again tomorrow" her mom said pulling out a chair.
"Okay"Elena replied
"Hmmm.... where's dad" Elena asked
"He went on a short business trip, the company needed more hands to be involved in the project" Mrs Thompson replied
"Okay so when will he be back "Elena asked
"Probably next week Wednesday"Mrs Thompson replied
"Okay" she said.
It was getting to the middle of the term already Elena missed alot. She was so into her books, she cared less of parties and school festivals or other fun event. The only placed she was seen apart from her room was the library, she literally became a total nerd. She wasn't concerned about her appearance , though she wasn't dirty but its been century see looked at the mirror. Her phone was only for calls, her life was so boring , but the only person who could bring out the little fun was Jenny.
"zzzzzzz" Elena phone vibrated
Elena stood up and walked toward her bed and took her phone to see who was calling. Immediately a wide smile came to her face, she hasn't smiled like this in a while.
"Hey baby" Elena said as she answered the phone
"Ooh my lil baby how have you been sweetie "Jenny said
"I'm good" Elena said exposing all her teeth
"I've missed you so much , I can't wait to see u again Elena" she said
"Me too" Elena said
"So how's school "Jenny asked
"School is fine"Elena replied
"Are you sure , because I know you well "she asked
"No I literally mean it " Elena said
"Okay if you say so, hmmm there is something important I wanted to discuss with you " Jenny said
"Okay go on " she said with ears widely open waiting for the gist
"The thing is that I got an information that the school will be holding a scholarship examination so it happening in three month time , and I think it'll be nice if you participated, since it was your dream anyway " Jenny said
"Really, but I thought they don't do scholarship "she asked
"I know right I was surprised too, and you know the sweetest part is that it just an oral exam more like an interview "Jenny said
"Wow, did I sleep on my book while reading again because this feels like a dream to me " she said as she pinched her face "OMG, so it's really happening , I can't believe this. Thank you so much Jenny I don't know what I would have done without you."Elena said happily
"No you don't have to thank me" Jenny said
"What are you say, you literally helped me so much......ever since I knew you you've just been helping me and all I have to say is thank you.Am so happy to have you. Thanks so much"Elena said
"Okay let's say its grandpa's birthday gift to you"Jenny said
"Yeah right?"Elena said
"Yep, so don't thank me too much "Jenny said
"Okay whatever"Elena
"I think I need to hang up, I got class now"Jenny said
"Hey you can lie to everyone but not me dear, you attending class is not possible"Elena said
"Okay you got me there , so there's this party by 9pm so I don't want to miss"Jenny confess
"Yeah I knew it , so you want to start a live video of your grwm right ?"
"Right"Jenny replied
"So your fans can be able to pick what you where for the party, right?"Elena asked
"Right"Jenny replied
"You get people who you haven't seen to pick what you wear to go to a party"
"Yeah "Jenny replied
"I mean who does that "Elena said
"Everyone on social media Elena, literally everyone"Jenny said
"Like what the fuck......why"Elena asked
"Just for fun Elena, you won't understand anyway."Jenny said
"Okay I know I won't.....I think I'll hang up so some don't miss her live stream."Elena said
"Okay bye, don't miss me too much"Jenny said
"You know I won't, bye anyway "Elena said
"Bye sweetie"she said as the phone hung up.
