Chapter three -Good bye Jenny

After the graduation ceremony Jenny came by to Elena's house as promised .They hanged around , went to the movie, drove around town,played games together, took pictures. It was alot of fun over there. Jenny could see that Elena was having fun and that's exactly what she wanted, she always wanted to see Elena this way but Elena kept spacing out.
Elena felt that this was their last chance to enjoy each other company, so she decided to have alot of fun . The feeling of loneliness wasn't there , Elena felt alive and regret the fact that Jenny was going to school during the weekend.It doesn't seem funny to her that Jenny was leaving so soon.
They had fun till dusk , so Jenny invited Elena for dinner.
"Elena let's stop at my place for dinner then after that I'll drive you home, okay?"she said
"okay thanks"Elena replied
So she drove off, on reaching there one can see a big mansion ahead it was the Edison's
it was so big that it's size overshadowed the rest of the building in the area, it was gold and silver in the exterior designs.
As Jenny and Elena walked into the building there were two maids standing at the door to collect their purses and coat . The house was massive inside, every furniture there cost a fortune which you can just tell looking at it.Elena walked straight avoiding to make contacts with the furniture.
They both went upstairs to jenny's room, and in a short time a maid came to pass information to them that dinner was ready .
They both went down together,on reaching the dining table, Elena sighted James Edison and Sophie Edison, this people were Jenny's parents which elena have been seeing only on television .She was so excited to see them because they were also people that motivated her to becoming a Software Architect.She sat down on the dining chair .
Jenny Introduced Elena to her parents .
"Mum,Dad this is Elena Thomson , Elena this are my parents am sure you've seen or heard of them"
"Hi nice to meet you"Elena greets
"Nice to meet you too, we've heard so much about you from our angel,so how are you doing?" Mrs Sophie replied
"I'm good ma'am"Elena said
"It nice to see you Elena, how are your parents"Mr James asked
"They're are fine"Elena replied
After the exchange of pleasantries they began to dig into their food. In the middle of the meal Mrs Sophie started a conversation.
"Elena how are your studies going, I heard you will be done with high school ?"she said
"Yes ma'am"Elena answered
"Do you have plans on going to college and what will you like to study , you seem to be a brilliant girl so that shouldn't be a problem right?" Mrs Sophie asked.
Elena's dream college was Harvey Mudd college, which Jenny was entering without any effort. Elena has always wanted to go there because of her grandpa was a professor there before he passed away,he always told her that it was people like her that were found in the school, people who are intelligent and had goals in life, people with priorities.But due to she can't meet to the fees she decided to cut her coat according to her size.
"I would like to study at to Pace University, and to study software engineering."Elena answered.
"Wah,why Pace go to somewhere more like you know like Harvey Mudd, Jenny is also going there"Mrs Sophie said
"Ma'am I........"Elena said but was interrupted by Jenny
"Mom can you just cut it,you ask way to much
questions"Jenny said arrogantly
"I just wanted to know more about your friend, it's not a big deal "Mrs Sophie said
"Jenny please be polite "Mr James said.
"Sorry Dad"Jenny said
Jenny knew that Elena wanted to go to Harvey Mudd,she knew about her grandpa so she doesn't want her mum to put so much pressure on her.
"We are going to host grandma's birthday party here , so you can invite your friend, it's going to be on Friday night"Mr James said
After the dinner Jenny drove Elena home.
"Thanks for the dinner "Elena said
"You're welcome, look Elena if you don't want to come to the party you don't have to worry "Jenny said
"I'm coming for sure like it's literally going to be the last time I will see you before you go to college"Elena said
"Okay you said so, I'm gonna pick you up by 9:30"Jenny said and drove off
At the party it was boring at the beginning which Jenny could not withstand,so she dragged Elena out of the party and they drove to the beach. They played and had lots of fun and when they came back the party was over. They watch movies in Jenny's room. It was surely a wonderful night.
The next day Jenny prepared for college, she left after crying with Elena. It was a sad moment for both of them.
