CHAPTER TWO -Two Rival

Jenny was in her finals , she was busy. But she wasn't busy studying instead she was busy with her parties and increasing her social status inorder to gain more votes and likes for the upcoming prom queen. She hosted different big parties and engaged in doing more live video than she did before. But one will ask why she's putting so much effort on being the prom queen of the year. It is actually to prove people wrong about her being equal to Alexander Williamson. Alex was her rival , people could tell that they were sworn enemies. They kinda had something common between them,they are but hotties and popular in school and social media , they both came from wealthy homes and lastly the both have the same aim of becoming the prom queen of the year. They both had in mind that there's only one queen when it comes to prom so they gave all their best inorder to be higher than the other.Jenny got what it takes to be the queen so does Alex, but who is taking the crown. This were the thought of students but no one knows who will be the one.
Prom was tonight every one was prepared for the big show. The party was hot , there was music, drinks , people were vibing together.
Till Jenny step in,it was more like a grand entrance. All eyes were on her, she was glowing in her beautiful royal blue dress,from the look of things her outfit cost a fortune.
She match down like a queen giving a diva vibe, surprisingly Alex's outfits were no match for hers.
After all the dancing , photos and contests, it was time to announce the prom queen and king of the year. This was the moment when every in the party was looking forward to hear.
You could see the sweat on Alex's face , she was feeling anxious or should I say scared, yeah she was scared because of the energy Jenny brought to the party.Jenny on the other hand was just patiently waiting for her name to be called.
After the little suspense , the elected students
from the student body announced the prom king who was Michael Wilson who is a known basketball player in school, he is popular and also wealthy,he is tall and athletic. People already knew he would be prom king so it wasn't surprising at all , what everyone waited for was the prom queen to be announced. It was going to be a tough one though but a queen is always going to be a queen. After the applause given to the prom king everywhere became calm and every one gave their attention to know who it would be.
The student took the microphone, looking into a paper card and announced the name"Jennifer Edison", immediately Alex left the party looking furious . They all clapped and cheered Jenny as she climbs the stage to receive her crown .
People were happy as the party continued, some came to snap pictures with the prom king and queen to gain more likes . Jenny sat on the high sit which was reserved for both the prom king and queen after pictures, as she sat down she was trying to look for Alex but it seems that she wasn't able to find Alex anywhere so she continued dancing along to the music.
After few hours, party was over people could not stop talking about the prom, it was all over the net.
The next day was graduation.Jenny woke up from her Queen size bed with a pretty mode.
she was so excited about yesterday.she picked up her phone and called Elena .
"Hello, Elena Wats up"she said
"Hi bae, I'm good"Elena answered in a sleepy tune
"Don't tell me that the reason you didn't get to come to prom was because you were studying?"Jenny yelled
"Chill girl I was only trying to cover my Maths and science text books"Elena replied
"Oh my goodness what on earth is wrong with you, why can't you just bring out time to chill momma, why are you always spacing out." Jenny said angrily.
"what again Jenny, you of all people should know that I don't go to parties, besides I was able to cover alot of topics yesterday."
"You are such a Nerdette "she said still upset
"No am not, besides I don't have a partner"elena replied
"That's not an excuse, you know I was ready to dump Jackson to go with you , I tried convincing you but you didn't accept, so you can't use that as an excuse"Jenny said
"Yeah that's right, but it's all in the past so are you ready to tell me who took the crown"she said trying to change the topic so Jenny could stop scolding her.
"Whoa are you diverting our conversation"she said
"Nope not at all I was......"Elena said but was interrupted by Jenny
"Who else deserves the crown.I and only me own the crown "she said proudly
"Wow , that's so good to hear congrats, atleast you got what you wanted as always" Elena said excited.But she wasn't surprised because since she knew Jenny she alway get anything she wants.
"Thanks dear, but I call you back I have to prepare for graduation, I will stop by your house when I come back, okay?" Jenny said
"Okay see you bye " Elena said and hung up
