CHAPTER 12
Walking up to the council building holding Jensen’s hand, Logan was surprised to realize he was at peace. But from the coldness of Jensen’s hand and the way it trembled slightly, he knew his mate was not feeling the same. The small amount of fear rolling off Jensen did not make his animal happy, but knowing that Nick was with them and would stand by them, made Logan feel better about going to the council.
As they entered the building, Logan smiled when he saw the group gathered there watching
them. Jagger and Nick both smiled as well, but Jensen stumbled a little then caught himself and his grip on Logan’s hand tightened.
Logan leaned in, whispering to Jensen, “It’s okay, pretty boy. This is my family.”
