As much as she wanted to just jump into bed with Yuuki—after a long shower—Ken had to see Rada. It took a little while to find her. She was in the storage room taking inventory. No one had told her that her best friend returned. When she saw Kenna, she dropped her clipboard and stood there, staring.
Ken crossed the distance and hugged her. They were arguably siblings now, given how much Dakota looked after Rada. She was fine with that label. Rada deserved to have a sister, just as she deserved a family and a happy life. If Ken could provide even a fraction of that for her, she would. “Oh, I missed you!” she told her.
“I missed you, too!” Rada returned. She pulled away and picked up her notes. Pressing the clipboard to her chest, she smiled brilliantly. “You seem—worn out.”
