“You’re wasting time here,” said the Devotee as she began to fall asleep that night.
Irritated, Ken pried one eye open. Yuuki was spread out on the bed, leaving just enough room for Kenna if she curled up in a ball. In a low voice, “We need to find Moíra. They will help us.”
“You think this place is safe even though you know it isn’t,” the Healer added. “Creatures will be drawn to the lights and noise. So will other people.”
“I can take care of them. I killed that thing. I could kill a whole army if I needed to.” She could use the stem stones to boost the power of any talisman she evoked.
