Jade lay in bed resting, when she heard a knock on the door. She tried ignoring it but it became loud and persistent.
"Who is it?" she finally asked and Terry barged in without a reply. She ignored that fact.
"Can you come with me to the beach ? Terry requested.
"I don't feel going anywhere today" she sighed.
"Why not?" he sulked.
"I just suddenly feel tired" she explained, sinking deeper into the sheets.
"I have feeling this is to do with Aiden leaving" Terry announced.
"Definitely not" Jade replied shifting her eyes awkwardly.
"And that's all the proof I need" Terry smirked.
"Don't be too bummed, you'll see him in a few days"
"Please just go to the beach with me. I heard there is this restaurant out there, and they serve some killer burgers" he mentioned. "We can get some while we're there" he offered.
"Luck enough, I feel hungry" she smiled.
"Get out bed then" He began to pull her arm.
"Alright!, alright!" she laughed at his eagerness.

Terry and Jade walked along the beach as they took in the scenery and watched as people swam in the ocean or lay in the sun. Terry who was walking ahead of her turned around to see her walking far behind him; he ran up to her and noticed the look on her face. She looked as if she was upset and feeling down. She also seemed to be doing a lot of thinking.
"Are you okay?" Terry asked worriedly.
"Ye-yes, I'm fine" she responded as she was broken out of her reverie.
"You look upset" he pointed out.
"I'm really fine" she forced a smile.
"Are you upset because you miss your man?" he teased.
"No!" she told him. "In fact, I don't miss him at all" she lied.
"I know when your lying to me silly. I've been your brother-in-law long enough to know how to read you" he revealed. "I know people think of me as some childish, immature clown, which I am" he grinned. "But i can also be very understanding, so you can always confide in me" he offered.
"I'm okay Terry, if there is anything I want to say to you or confide in you about; I promise you, I will" she assured him.
"Okay then" He gave in. "Do you want to take a swim?" he grinned.
"I'd rather not" she replied.
"I think you DOOO!" he yelled and she could just see that mischievous glimmer in his eyes.
"Don't you DAAARE!" she shouted.
"TO LATE!" he replied as he pushed her into the water.
"HEY!" she yelled him as she burst into laughter. And then he cannon balled right after.
She immediately started to splash him and he did same. Jade couldn't remember the last time she laughed as much as she was in that moment. There was never a dull moment wherever Terry was concerned. He was drastically different from Aiden and it made her happy that even when Aiden was being awful to her, there was someone as wonderful as Terry in her life to keep her smiling and give her happiness. When they had had enough of the beach they dried themselves in the summer sun and headed to the restaurant Terry had offered earlier.
When they arrived, they were immediately seated seeing as they part of the VIP membership. The host showed them to their table, which was a bit further away from the regular guests and were immediately seated. They ordered their foods and were once again, immediately served. They thanked the waiter and dug in to their food.
"Mmm, these burgers are as good as you mentioned" Jade moaned, as she took her first bite.
"Indeed they are" Terry replied, also taking a huge bite. "Have you tasted the milkshake yet?, it's divine" he stated.
"Wait, let me try it" she swallowed the piece of burger in her mouth; before bringing the straw to her lips and taking a sip of her milkshake. "It's just as good" she revealed.
"We should come here again, over the next few days" Terry suggested taking a fry into his mouth.
"Agreed" She smiled. Thoughts of Aiden had long escaped her mind. Indeed, food sure does have a way of making one forget their issues. After devouring all that food, Terry and Jade were satisfyingly full.
"We should head back before your mum and dad start to wonder where we went" Terry stated.
"But not before we order some food to go, for them" she suggested. After buying some food to go, they headed back to the suit. On their way up in the elevator, another guy joined them; who was staring intensely at Jade.
"She's married!" Terry yelled, to disrupt his gaze on Jade. Jade smiled at his protectiveness. The guy cleared his throat and went off the elevator as his floor arrived.
"At least you know, you still got it" Terry teased and she chuckled.

The family was sat around the living room table playing a game of Monopoly which Terry had insisted on bringing on the trip.
"DAD! You cheated!" Terry pointed an accusing finger at his dad.
"Why would I do that?" Gannon asked smirking. He would always cheat Terry every time they played monopoly just to get a reaction out of him. Terry was an excessively competitive person.
"You stole the money, I saw it,I know I did!" Terry complained. Everyone laughed.
"You are too adorable" Sadie laughed and kissed his forehead.
"Mum,it's-not-funny!" Terry glowered.
"Who wants some hot chocolate!" His dad announced. And sure enough, Terry's immense obsession with chocolate got a hold of him and he had long forgotten all about the game. People might say he was childlike, but his parents weren't eager to see him grow up yet so they usually let him be.
