Aiden spread his arm out to Jade to find her spot cold and empty. He opened his eyes and looked to his side and realised that it was indeed empty. He checked the bathroom; maybe she was sick again but she wasn't there. "Jade!, baby!” he called out; but there was no response. He checked everywhere downstairs but he still couldn't find her. He went into their walk in closet and saw her things were missing; then it dawned on him. She had left him. A mixture of emotions rushed through his body. Anger, pain and neglect. He picked up his phone and smashed it against the wall. "WHY?!" he screamed violently. He had never cried often but at that moment, it felt like his heart had been shattered in to pieces and he suddenly felt to urge to cry. He had felt that much sorrow even when he was forced to break up with Alexis. He picked up his house phone and dialed his mother. "Hello son?" she said into the phone. "MUM!" he cried. "What is wrong?" she had never seen or heard him so upset. He was one to usually mask his emotions. "Tell me what's wrong love" "She left me mum!" He cried into the phone. "She left me!" He repeated. "I don't understand what your talking about son" Sadie told him. "Jade left" he explained, punching the wall. His hand was now covered in blood. But the pain was nothing compared to the emotional torture he was going through. He couldn't believe Jade did this to him. "I'll be right there; explain when I arrive" she said, before hanging up. Aiden slid onto the floor burying his head in his arm. He sat there for hours until his mum arrived. ~ "Why did you cheat on your wife!" His dad shouted, with a slap across the face. His mother had brought his dad and brother along to the house. He explained the whole situation and his dad was furious. "I'm sorry, I was in love with Alexis!" he explained. "And you think that's reason enough to cheat on your wife?" His mum intruded. "I'm so disappointed in you" Gannon told him, as he attempted to leave. "Honey, can't you stay; we need to solve this problem" she begged. "I don't know why I should stay; he's old enough to solve his own God damn problems. "How despicable!" he spat before leaving and slamming the door right behind him. Sadie sighed. "Do you know where she she could've gone. A friend's house, her father's house?" she asked. "Guys, guys have you seen this?" Terry came in holding a note. Aiden snatched it and began to read silently. His mum and brother gathered around him to find out what it said. Dear Aiden, I'm sorry to have done this to you,but I did a lot of thinking over night; and I just can't live with you knowing what I know about your ex-girlfriend. Hopefully, you can do what you need to do to support her. She needs you more than I do. Don't bother looking for me; you will only be wasting your time. goodbye, Jade. "I need some fresh air" Aiden announced as he threw the note on the floor and went into the walk in closet. His mum picked it up and read over it. He pulled on some random clothes over his body and began to leave. "Where are you going?" she called after him. "I need to get out; I'm suffocated in here!" he slammed the door after himself. He was just like his dad, they both slammed doors when they were angry, Sadie thought. She turned around to look at Terry, who shrugged. "Remain as calm as you always are; don't inherit such behaviour" she told him. ~ Jade moved into the suite of the hotel she was going to be staying for next few months. She was lucky enough to be able to afford such a pace, which she was grateful for, otherwise she wouldn't know what else to do. She set her luggage on the floor and unzipped her jacket. She carried her things to the bedroom and decided to order room service. After a calming bath from all the stress of the past day, she decided to take some rest. She lay in bed in total darkness, thinking of how much she missed Aiden. She convinced herself that what she did was right. According to her, Alexis needed Aiden more than she did. She felt that Alexis came to Aiden because she couldn't handle the pressure of being a single mother. She wasn't sure if she was going to survive the pressure; but she was willing to try. Besides, she wasn't going to live in a suite for the rest of her and her child's life. It was just until it was born and everything was settled. She shut her eyes and wrapped her arms around her stomach. "This is where we're staying now baby" she whispered to her child. "We will be just fine" she said. She was assuring herself that things would be fine; more than to her child. She soon succumbed to sleep.Tomorrow was another day, she thought; as she drifted off. ~ "Did you find him?" Sadie asked Terry who had gone to look for Aiden. "No" he stated as he collapsed into the chair. The waited for his return being that Terry did not succeed in finding him. "Hi!" Aiden stumbled in a few minutes later; drunk out of his mind. "What happened to you" Sadie asked worriedly, as she hurriedly rushed to his side. "Where the f**k have you been dude?" Terry questioned. “I've been searching foryou” "Jade is back right?" he slurred. They both stared at him not sure how to reply. "Of course she is; all I have to do is go upstairs and she'll be th-" he dropped to the floor before he could finish his sentence. "Terry could you help him up and take him to the shower?"his mum said. "What no!" Terry protested. "I don't want to deal with this mess" "Well I'm telling you,not asking you" Sadie turned to him. "Hurry up and carry him upstairs. Terry grumbled as he forced Aiden off the floor and up the stairs. When he had successfully gotten him into the shower, he opened the freezing cold water on Aiden to wake him up. The water didn't seem to affect him. Terry felt awful watching his brother suffer like that. At the same time, thought Aiden deserved it. Jade was a good person and wife to him, and he had let her slip from his hands. He finally managed to get out Aiden out of the shower and transferred him onto the bed; where he wiped him down and just pulled some shorts on him. Sadie then came and tucked him in; before leaving a kiss on his forehead and switching off the light. "Mum?" she heard him whisper in the darkness. "Yes Aiden?" she responded. "Jade will come back right?, she loves me right?" he questioned. "Yes" was all she muster up the courage to say to him before leaving him to sleep.
