Jade sat in Blue's rocking chair at night, trying to soothe her to sleep as she thought about Aiden's sudden appearance at her father's house. He looked bad, she thought. He looked weary and tired, and had lost some weight; but as always, he looked handsome in her eyes. She always thought him to be the most handsome man she had ever set eyes on, and that didn't seem to change, seeing the way her body had reacted at the mere sight of him. She hadn't perceived just how much she loved and missed him until she had seen him standing out that window.
