“Come on girl! What’s going on?? That's what you want to say to me. You were missing for a week. You haven’t reported to the office for the past one week...” Kathy retorted haughtily.
“Kathy! Spare me this time, please! Had a family emergency so couldn’t contact anyone. Will explain everything once I reach office. I promise it will never happen again,” Sarah pleaded.
Judging from her playful voice, no one could imagine that she was having a hard time at home.
When Kathy heard how Sarah was trying to coax her, she felt delighted. Yet, she replied in a stern and cold tone, “No way! You are in trouble this time. I can’t help you out.”
