Chapter 30
She froze in place regaining her body composure in Axel’s arms before shrugging him off.
“What happened?”
Axel inquired. Whitney held a prying look as if searching the atmosphere for the invisible.
“I heard voices, it spoke directly to my left ear.”
She quickly touched it and felt the humid state of her ear, the water around it was her confirmation. Something was right there.
“See! I knew it!”
Axel’s eyes widened wondering what exactly she spoke of. She brushed him off seeing that his puzzled expression meant that he didn’t believe her.
