Luca and his team set out into the wild searching for her when the distant chatter of an emerging troop reached their ears.
“What’s that?” Zoe shrieked in fear.
“Sounds like a whole troop…hide! Everyone!” Luca ordered, dashing behind a large oak tree. Zoe followed after him while Axel hid with Whitney behind a stony heap.
The troops marched even nearer, their hands scattering and hitting the grass on their paths.
“They are looking for someone…” Zoe whispered.
