The attack came to everyone as a surprise except Odessa. She was showering when she first spotted that something was wrong. The pain and heaviness of Luca’s engagement still had its weight on her hence her day was spent in bed and letting her tears express themselves. She locked her room door preventing anyone from coming in. She was unaware of anything that happened outside including the Council trial. She rose to take a shower, her body was oozing from not just grief but dampness. She turned on the shower and for some minutes stood still under it. There was a strange pull for her to increase the amount of hot water that drizzled down and she did and she continued to increase it until it was at 100 degrees. The bathroom was cooking itself in the steam but the desire from more didn’t stop.
