I glanced around the Kitchen that seems to have become my temporary home. Kiera, Lera, and Jade were hard at work, preparing a large amount of food for the pack of two hundred waiting anxiously outside. We tried to keep the table full as much as possible. With the warriors coming and going from patrol and with everyone having different eating habits and needs.
The aroma of cooked meat and vegetables filled the air, a tantalizing scent that seemed to never dissipate during the day. However our supplies are about to start running low, our house was stocked, but not for this type of demand. The three sisters had become a formidable team in the kitchen, each with their own unique roles.
Lera, who I learned is the oldest, oversaw the entire operation with a calm and collected demeanor.
