I make sure to stay close and keep Ember in my site as we continue the bloody battle. I glance at her out of the corner of my eye; her face is set in a fierce snarl as she fights with renewed vigor. Her eyes hold a dangerous glint, and her movements are those of a seasoned warrior. It's as if a switch has been flipped, and a different person altogether has emerged. I don't know what set her off back in that clearing and I've witnessed her anger before, but this is something else. It's a wild, untamed force that propels her forward with relentless determination. Her power barely contained under the surface. A Pandoras box that been opened and now can't be closed. It will burst out of her sooner rather than later.
