Horror gripped my veins as I stared at Isaac, whose gaze was razor-sharp. He looked every bit the beast that the tales claimed him to be. “You…you wouldn’t.” My voice shook and I hated the fact that it showed my fear. Isaac stalked towards me until he was close, too close for my liking. His wolf form was….intimidating. His black fur gleamed under the fluorescent lights and in the middle of modernity, he looked unreal. I had to tilt my head to look up at him. “That is exactly what I intend to do. I don’t give empty threats,” he rasped. I averted my gaze. I didn’t want him to see the telltale sign of tears. “Think carefully, Kathryn.
