Darren’s POV
It had only been minutes since Leon had left the room when the door had been opened and Audrey was brought in the arms of a warrior. At first, I was filled with rage, but when I saw the sweat beading around her forehead, her breathing was labored, and she was shaking. “Bring mate, here!” demanded Astro.
“Bring her here.” I motioned for the warrior to come over. I moved over to make space for her.
The warrior brought her over and set her next to me. He stepped back unsure of where he should go. “You may leave,” I permitted him to leave. He bowed and then exited the room.
