Nova's POV
It happened. I looked over to see Leon sleeping peacefully next to me with a smile on his lips. I hadn't seen him look so relaxed in a long time. I could understand it though. I felt it too. I felt whole. I raised my hand to the base of my neck on the right side and there it was, the mark. I was his and he was mine.
Then I saw it. Outside, the sun had dipped away and the moon had taken its place. Quickly, I reached for my phone. It was dead. Panicked, I fumbled around until I found a charger. Quickly, I plugged it in and waited a few moments before I turned on my phone. Dread filled me as I saw all the calls and text messages and finally the time. It was one in the morning. Mom and Dad must be worried sick. Then I saw it, the final text message.
