Nova's POV
We rode through the trees, keeping our heads down to avoid the tree branches that reached out to grab at us. Luna Jade had her arms wrapped around me, while I gripped the fur of the wolf we were riding on, tightly. A few feet behind us, Audrey and Darren rode together. Circled around us at varying degrees were other Crimson Fang warriors. We were making good time and the fact that we only heard the sound of running through the woods put my heart slightly at ease. However, I felt as though I were waiting to hear the sounds of fighting, expecting them almost.
The longer we rode without hearing any sounds of conflict, the more I felt as though we would make it to our destination without issue. "How are you feeling?" Leon linked me, worry filling his voice.
