Chapter Nine Proof When I wrestled in high school, sometimes towards the end of practice we would goof off, with lighter wrestlers challenging the bigger boys. I never had a problem with the boys who were 40 pounds lighter, even when they were older and defending league champions, but another league champion 20 pounds lighter than me had been a much more even affair. Come to think of it, Krista was probably about the same weight I’d been then, but of course I’d continued growing, wrestling in college 20 pounds heavier and still rawhide lean, and gaining 30 pounds since.
