Therapy
I could barely walk, I sure as hell couldn’t exercise, and I wondered how I could possibly work. Nell had stayed overnight. She, Carmen, and Lucey treated my tenderized ass before bed and again in the morning. I slept on my stomach, badly. At least one part of Carmen’s body was against mine every time I woke that night, her pillow damp with tears. She had Lucey unlock her toilet seat so I would no longer have to pee sitting down, at least for now, then walked Nicky and Chipper with Nell and her two dogs. She brought me my laptop when she returned. She’d told my parents I wasn’t feeling well but should be better by dinner. She ordered a standing desk for me and it was delivered by midday.
