The Strong One

Episode 5

When Diego and I arrived at the warehouse we made our way to my parents office where like always we trained physically and mentally as soon as we were done Diego and I decided to go out to eat something and when we were done we went to his house where we then had a chat with Diego’s dad and my dads best friend Lee, Lee is like an uncle to me, for as long as I remember he was there with us, Diego’s mum died when he was born and that’s the reason why Lee then joined my mums gang because he needed to support his son and that’s when my father and him met, my dad had just joined too.

“Alright Mr Wells I better get home before my parents send out a search party for me, thank you for having me over.” I said getting up smiling and giving him a hug.

“Alright let’s go, I’ll be back soon dad.” Diego said getting up and making his way to the door, he is my driver, since Diego is a year and a couple of months older than me he already has his drivers, lucky isn’t he.

“Be safe.” Lee said waving at us as we left the house.

The drive home was quick as Diego doesn’t live too far off from me.

“Thank you.” I said smiling at him.

“You are always welcome.” Diego answered back.

I closed the space between us and kissed him and just before I left the car I said to him,

“I love you too.” Replying back to when he said it to me but never gave me a chance to say it to him.

“Hi honey.” I heard mum say from the kitchen.

“Hey mum what are you doing?” I asked confused as the only time mum is in the kitchen is to chat with nan who is away right now.

“Just making some cookies.” Mum said back.

As I made my way into the kitchen I smelt the cookies and let me tell you the smelt deliciously good.

“I can’t wait to have some.” I greedily said making my mum laugh.

“Has Olly called lately?” Mum asked worried, (Olly is her mums brother, her uncle for anyone who forgot).

“No mum, but it’s because Ella is sick and he doesn’t have much free time.” I said trying to calm my mums nerves, (Ella is Olly’s daughter)

“Hope the wee angel is ok.” Mum said while talking a break from her cookie making to give me a hug.

“I thought I was your angel.” I said pretending to be upset.

“Alex you and I both know you never were or acted like an angel but you were a little devil in disguise.” Mum said laughing.

“Fair.” I answered, laughing too.

“Where are the best women in my life?”  I heard my dad ask.

“Kitchen love.” Mum said.

When dad came into the kitchen he smiled lovingly at mum and gave her a kiss on the cheek and then came over to me and said,

“Hey little monster.” He said giving me a hug, the nickname monster came from when I was a kid and I used to go round pretending to be a monster.

“Hey dad.” I said and hugged him back.

“Your birthday is in 5 days what do you want?” Dad asked me.

“A Lamborghini.” I said simply.

“You can’t even drive yet.” Dad said rolling his eyes.

“Alright what colour.” Dad said giving in.

“Wait really... I mean umm yellow.” I said happily yet shocked dad agreed so easily.

“You want a big party?” Mum asked while taking the cookies out of the oven, it’s so funny to see how different my family is at home compared to at work in-front of others, you would think they are different people.

“No just a dinner with all of us if it’s ok, I know Olly and Ella can’t come but, with Lee, Diego, nan, grandpa, you and dad.” I said smiling to my mum, my Nan is my dads mum but my grandpa is not really my grandpa he is married to my Nan so technically my grandpa.

 “Alright here’s some cookies.” Mum said placing them in front of dad and I and we quickly attacked.

“You would think I’m starving you.”‘mum said shaking her head as in disappointment at me and dad which caused us to laugh and make cookies go everywhere and that made mum mad.

After helping mum clean the kitchen mess I said goodnight to mum and dad and then made my way to my room.

As I walked in memories of the night before filled my mind making me go red in embarrassment.

I took a shower and then went and laid on the clean sheets which I changed when I woke up because well you know.

I sent a message to Diego saying goodnight and then tried to fall asleep which was hard because after last night I really want Diego’s arms around me.
