The water was cold, and Joe couldn't see anything, he had to swim forward with his hands out to make sure he didn't smash his face into any rocks. While bumping his head several times and feeling for a way in which to go he felt a sudden piercing feeling on his leg and he was stuck! It felt like the jaws of a wolf holding him in place he kicked at the beasts head to no avail.
