"Am I interrupting something?" Lucian asked with a faint smile.
Serena felt an inexplicable flush of embarrassment. "Sorry you had to see that."
"It's fine."
"Then let's go inside and talk."
She gestured toward the restaurant, and Lucian followed her in. As he passed Adrian, however, he cast him a brief, dismissive glance.
Adrian caught the mockery instantly, and rage surged through him. He lunged forward and seized Serena's wrist.
"Is this because you like him now?" he demanded. "Is that why you refuse to forgive me?"
"Are you insane?"
Serena tried to pull free, but his grip was like iron. She was just about to call for security when Lucian stepped in and clamped down on Adrian's wrist.
Pain shot through Adrian's arm, forcing him to let go at once.
Lucian immediately drew Serena
