I tried to remain calm and not show Lavender that I was upset with what she had told me. Yes, Rose and I were matched, but I made it clear to my mother that I would not marry her. She was a friend, but after my mother fed her some lies about me getting married to her, she became unbearable.
I could not stand her constant touches and advances towards me.
