Chapter Eighteen To my surprise, the only person on the other side of the wall was Rhodopis, who had stopped for some reason. "Rhodopis," I said. She jumped, then spun around. "Hathor? What are you doing here? It isn't safe." "It isn't for you either," I pointed out, stepping forward. A sad smile stretches over her face. "It's never been safe for me here. I'm a slave, remember?"
