All I Felt Was Shame

It's been weeks and we have being able to spend more time with each-other since being a fairy has come to light. I also stopped working for the pack and instead took my place as Silas's mate. I have also being practicing my skills, I have a life time of powers to tap into. I was leaning down in the garden again, touching the dead plants and bringing them to life. I hummed a little to myself while touching each leaf. " Hey baby." Silas said leaning down to kiss the top of my head. I smiled sweetly and the contact and stood up. " Hey Si." I said turning to him. " You are doing great with the garden, mom is extremely impressed." He said looking at the flowers that have bloomed into brilliant and vibrant colors. I grinned at him before touching another flower causing it to bloom fully. I felt so happy and so peaceful here, like I really belong. " So, tell me about the underworld some more." I said, walking around the garden tending to my flowers. I didn't know much outside of the rules, and I wanted to be prepared for my new life there. " I mean, we've existed for a very long time, humans knew about us but when they threatened our very existence we had to go into hiding and that's when the government was created." He said sitting on a bench. I still had a lot to learn about the government, who where they. I turned from my flowers to meet him at his spot. "So who is this government?" I asked sitting down. " The Government is made up of 6 main individuals from each section of the Underworld, representatives if you will." He said looking at me. I nodded encouraging him to continue. "We have Ambrosia, she's 28 years old, she represents the Vampires, she took over after her father passed on." She was so young, I mean older then I was but still so young to be on a council. "Next we have Ashina, she's 29 years old and she represents us, the werewolves." I looked panicked for a second at the thought of a werewolf young enough and more powerful then I, who could probably easily take Silas if she wished. "Then there is Carina she's 38 and represents your kind, the fairy race." I nodded, I was more curious about Carina, she's a fairy like me, I don't know much of my kind besides my mother and siblings. "Then we have Ambrose, he's 42 and the head wizard, he's been the head aslong as I can remember and one the oldest council members." I nodded facing him again, paying attention. "In charge of the ogre race is the oldest member at 56, his is Bral, and honestly the one I'd be least worried about." An Orge seems to be the one I would think would be the scariest one. "Finally, we have Abraxas, he's the youngest member at 22 he represents the Gods and Goddess race." I nodded placing my hands in my lap. "So there is 6 races." I said looking up at him. He nodded. "Essentially yes, there could potentially be more out there, but this is all we have found for now, and for years." I nodded soaking in all the information I could. "Hazel, I needed to tell you, they'll be here soon." I froze before facing him again, they were coming here , tonight! Tears started running down my cheeks as I began to shake. I shouldn't fear them, we did nothing wrong, I wasn't human. "Im scared." I whimpered out, trying to control my shaking. "Haze, I promise, they're just following up on Jack's accusations, you're safe I promise." He said leaning into embrace me which I gladly accepted. "What if I'm not." I said, looking at him. "Hazel, you're not human, they can tell that by just looking at you, especially Carina, its easier for her to tell her kind because she is a fairy herself." I nodded leaning into him more. "Silas, Haze, they're here." Curtis said summoning us to follow him again, I stood up and took Silas's hand. Walking down the hall, even tho I could most defiantly be facing my death. I have never felt more at peace.
