In the name of being honest

* 1 year later*

It had been a year since Jack died, and just over a year since I started dating Silas. I still tended to the garden, but since Maziko returned I've been helping her tend to the pack children the ones too young to attend school. I loved being around children but never considered having my own, sure I wanted a family with Silas but it wasn't something at the front of my mind.

Everything Silas said about Maziko was absolutely true. Maziko was such a kind women, she had kind eyes and a gentle hand when it came to the children and too life. Her son, Articus was the sweetest little boy , and even though he resembled Jack, he was not at all like him.

I was bent down in the garden tending to my flowers; they are what brought me the most peace. I smiled as I thought about my life, and how so much can change in one year. I went from living as human, loosing my father and moving in with a rich family to make extra money. Now I am in a relationship with the son of the Alpha, a werewolf apart of the underworld that I belonged too, and still needed to know so much about.

" Haz you in here?" I heard Silas call, I stood up fixing my dress.

" over here!" I said watching him come around the corner, his curly hair a mess and his eyes shining bright. I smiled at him as I reached for his hand giving it a gentle squeeze.

" The garden, it really has come to life again, thank you Hazel." He said kissing my forehead. I tugged on his hand leading him down the pathway, I wanted to show him what I discovered today. I put my fingers to my lips motioning for him to be very quiet. We walked a few more steps before coming to a quiet space covered in leaves and a few bushes, that was now housing a mother and her baby deer. I smiled at them before looking at Silas.

" Wow, I haven't seen wildlife here in ages." He whispered admiring the mother and her baby. I smiled up at him, feeling accomplished.

Besides Maziko coming back and my garden flourishing, I've also have been able to unlock the full potential to my powers as a fairy, im incredibly strong and able to use my powers as offensive aswell.

My life was peaceful and perfect.

We continued around the garden while I checked on plants before coming to the bench in the far corner. I sat down with Silas beside me.

" Hazel, marry me." He said, I was startled for a second before turning my head to see him holding a ring in his lap. I did a double take to make sure what I heard and what I was seeing was the same.When I realized he was serious, I nodded quickly accepting his proposal. He slid the beautiful diamond ring on my finger and I held it up to the sunlight.

"Thank you." I said smiling to him before kissing him quickly. I was finally going to be his wife.
