Unexpected News

Chapter 5

As I walk in all eyes are on me and I start to feel nervous. Starting fresh in a new school is a nerve racking feeling alone and then to walk in with all eyes on you doesn’t feel good. It’s like there staring into your soul and judging you. 

“Sorry I’m late, couldn’t find my way” I say as I think to myself I’ve said sorry plenty of times today what is going on. My mind wanders back to the encounter with mysterious boy. 

“You must be the new student I was expecting and that’s fine your new it’s expected. Go take a seat over there”. He points to a seat in the back row. I make my way there and take a seat. Throughout the lesson I worked with a girl named Sarah, who was really nice. I found out that I have most lessons with her which I found was convenient as she could show me around. At least I won’t be alone. She asked if I wanted to hang with her in which I said ok. I didn’t have anyone to hang with so I accepted and it was a good way for me to socialise. At least make friend to pass time here. Lunch time comes and I hang with Sarah and a friend of hers called Amelia. The both were super generous and welcoming. As I’m eating Amelia ask me a questions. “How come you’ve joined in the year late” I think about my answer before answering not sure if I should tell her the reason as I don’t want to have to open up to much. I don’t like talking about my business but I decide to tell her. “I had misbehaved her and there back in public school and my mom and dad had enough of it. So cliché of them” I say and wait for their response. Sarah opens her mouth and says “oh so you a bad girl” she says with raised brows in a teasing manner. Me and Amelia chuckle at that and shake our heads. We continue to eat and and chat about small thing. Not long after I see a group of boys enter the canteen and my eyes catch the mysterious boy I bumped into this afternoon. Looking sexy with his tall height of 6foot something. I assume the other two boys are his friends. He continues to walk with the other boys as my eyes follow him. He turns in my direction as if he senes someone watching him. His eyes meet mine and I feel as though he is stung into y soul with those hazel nut eyes trying to read me. 

I must have zoned out as the next minute I hear Amelia and Sarah calling for me. I snap out of the trance I’m in receiving a small smirk from him before turning my attention to Sarah and Amelia. What that hell was he smirking about I think to myself. “Who were you looking at” Sarah asks as both her and Amelia turn around to find my source of interest only meeting that backs of the boys. “Do you fancy someone already?” Amelia ask with excitement in her tone. I look at both of them as they stare back at me waiting for my response. I dismiss their rumour by saying “no, no way guys, I’m not trying to get into anything” the continue to stare at me with blank expression as if saying they see right three me. “Mmm” Sarah mutters. I need to be more careful because I know for a fact there going to pry it out of me. Even though I haven’t known them for long we’ve connected well. I resume back to lessons after lunch. After 2 more periods classes are finished. I walk out with Sarah. 

“There’s a gathering going on tonight with our year group we should go” Sarah informs me. 

“I don’t know if I want” I reply 

“Come on! You can’t stay cooped up in your dorm” Sarah try’s to persuade me

“I’ll see” I simply reply

“Uh huh your coming “ she says giving me no chance to argue back as she walks off to her dorm I’m assuming. 

“See ya I’ll see you at your dorm!!” She shouts while walking off. 

I go back to my dorm, undress out of my uniform and take a shower. I chat with Tash and Zikiara on the phone for a bit. After, I contact my parents as I had seen some missed call from them. They asked me how I’m founding it so far I told them it’s been alright. Time goes by and by 8pm I start to get ready for this gathering Sarah has forced me into. Honestly I’m not looking forward to it. It’s just gonna be a bunch of teenagers I don’t know squashed in on area. But then again Sarah is right I can’t just stay up here for the rest of my time here, I’ll go crazy.
