Unexpected News

Chapter 10

After lessons are all done me, Amelia and Sarah plan to meet at one of their dorm room at 7pm. To hangout maybe play truth or dare or never have I, gossip and regular girl things. But before that time comes I was thinking about going up to that area I had found at the gathering yesterday. A part of my brain hopes that I will see him there and that I was going there because of him. The problem is I how am going to get there. As it is the boys building and female students were not allowed there. It had been easier that time because of the gathering. That gave me an excuse be in the boys building let alone go up there. Hopefully I can come up with something to get me in the building. I lay in bed and scroll through my phone going back and forth on i********: and Snapchat. I get a call suddenly interrupting me scrolling on i********:. I pick it up. 

“Hey Mum”

“Hey darling. You doing? I just thought let me call you because I haven’t heard from you in long time”

“Yeah mum I’m doing good just been busy and trying to adjust here as I had to get familiar with the surroundings around here and I’m still not all the way familiar with the setting, that’s nice of you to ask mum” I lied to her. I don’t want her to know what’s really going on with me and why I haven’t called her in a while. I don’t why there’s no reason just doesn’t seem necessary. 

“Sorry to hear that darling you’ll love it there in no time” she says. Yeah right I think to myself sarcastically. I don’t think I’ll ever like it here. 

“Hopefully”. I hear my dad in the background arguing trying to tell my mum he wants to speak to me whilst my mum is moving away to talk to me while shouting to him to get back to cooking. I laugh at their silliness.

“Your dad says hi to you” she says after. I laugh at that as she’s took it upon herself to send dads greeting for me instead of giving him the phone like he wanted. 

“Why won’t you let dad talk to me mum?”

“I’m teaching him how to cook. He’s been wasting time cooking what I’ve told him to do and I guarantee you he’s using talking to you to elongate and stall the time used to cook”. I laugh at the idea of my dad cooking as I know for sure my mum forced him. He can’t cook to save his life. 

“Anyway I say hi back to him”. 

“I’ll tell him”. The next second I hear mum shouting to dad telling him “ do you hear that, Emily said hi to you, now get back to cooking”. I chuckle and shake my head at them over the phone. 

“Bye honey, I’ve got to go and help your dad before he burns this house down”

“Ok mum bye”. There too much. After I finish talking to them I start to get ready to head over to Amelia’s dorm. As I’m putting on my mini dress my phone beeps indicating a message or a notification. I take a quick glance at it and see it’s a message from my group chat with Amelia and Sarah. 

Sarah- you bitches ready!!!

Me- just putting my dress on now

Amelia- ok hurry up guys I’m waiting for you lot 

I put my phone down and concentrate to finish getting ready. Once I’m done I leave my dorm and make my way to Amelia’s dorm. I get there before Sarah so we wait for her. We wait for a while before she get here.. 

“Finally Sarah, took you time?” I say 

“I mean it takes time to look this good guys, you should now” she says. We roll our eyes at her and she laughs. 

“Anyway guys, what should we do”. Amelia says. 

“I don’t know. Maybe truth or dare or never have I ever” I say 

“Ok let’s play never have I ever but we need to something to spice it up” Amelia says 

“What?” I ask her as she gets up and and walk over to her bed, bending down she pulls out a draw from beneath the bed taking something from it, leaving me hanging wanting to know what she’s doing. Me and Sarah stretch our head trying to see what she’s getting. She turns around and holds it out. Me and Sarah’s eyes bulged out of our socket. 

“What the f**k are you doing with that!!” I yell. 

“Are you crazy are you trying to get us in trouble” Sarah exclaims. 

“Chill you lot, nothings going to happen, if you don’t bait us out next morning in lessons by looking dead” she says. 

“WHAT no way” I say 

“First of all where the hell did you get that alcohol from!!” Sarah says

“It doesn’t matter where and how I got it. Are you lot in? We both look at her with hesitation. 

“I don’t know” I say. “Same I’m not sure sure Amelia” Sarah says 

“Come on guys I’ll be fun. You can stop as soon as you become tipsy”. We eventually agree. 

“So the rule is if you haven’t done the given statement you take a shot. Ok let’s begin”. Amelia yells in excitement. We get 30minutes into playing the game and let me tell you I’m stuttering and slurring at every word. 

“Ok guys we-we-we need  to-to S-stop now” I stutter out. Sarah follows on in saying 

“Yeah we-we d-d-do”. Whilst slurring. 

“Yh definitely you lot are smashed”. We make our way to leave. Amelia offers to take us to our dorms seeing how we were but we deny as it’s not far from her dorm. Me and Sarah get to our dorm and wait for her to go inside before making a detour down the stairs and out of the building. I get to the boys building and because it’s late it’s unguarded I’m guessing the receptionist has popped somewhere else. I easily get through and head up. I get there and stand by the edge of the balcony as I enjoy the view from there. Even though I’m drunk I’m able to take in the beauty of sky and stars. I’m lost in the view. I’m not paying attention to my surrounds. Someone taps me on my left shoulder moving to the right to stand besides me. My drunk self falls for it and jerk me head to the left to find none like there and turn back to see who it was. My eyes land on him and it’s like I’m sobering up. He’s looking at me as I’m stood in silence looking back at him. 

“W-wh-what are you do-doing here and W-why h-have y-yo-you been ignoring me?”. He stares at me closely and intensely before moving forward I move backwards thinking he’s going to kiss me. He sniffs when close to mouth and looks back to me. 

“Are you drunk?”. He says in disbelief before shaking his head. 

“Come with me”. He grabs my arm gently before walking off

“Wh-where you taking me”. He ignores me. I’m entering his dorm the next minute. He takes me to his bed. I throw myself at him and I’m kissing him the next second. He begins to kiss me back and stops himself seconds later. I looks at him baffled as he’s stopped.

“I can’t take advantage of you. I need you to be in a clear mindset. Lay down and go to bed okay” he says so gently. I nod at him and lay down. He comes in bed I minute later only in his boxers. OMG WHAT he’s so close. AND IN HIS BOXERS SHIRTLESS. I scream inwards. He snuggles with me. I fall asleep not long after being in his arms, feeling protected in his arms.
