Chapter 3: He is autistic

The car soon approached the Red Moon pack. The whole kingdom would be silent the moment they saw who had just stepped foot in their territoryーthe infamous fae princess. They all knew who she was, and wouldn't dare to go against her will. They knew what she was capable of. The vibes they all have were at stake. Imogen stared at the great palace. Her mind almost shattered. She clenched her jaws tightly as she dug her fingers into the soft chair leather. Her whole body shook with rage. The dull scent that filled the car was making her nauseated in the guts. No matter how she felt about turning, she couldn't. Her father now controlled her freedom. What she once was, was gone. It's now what she currently is. The moment life turned everything down on her, she felt like things wouldn't end well for her. She had held on because her mum was gone and was the only one who had enriched her knowledge about how the whole world would later be. Feeding her secrets that should have benefited her, but everything was a to new questions. Now she was in a new torment. 'Finally, I'm here.' She heaved a deep sigh, one that made her lungs heavy. Her shoulders slumped as the car came to a halt. The stiff Alpha beside her still remain the same. Not even moving, he didn't speak. He didn't answer her plea. He didn't even flinch at all the crazy threats she had mouthed during the drive. Everything was just like he wasn't even existing in the car. The dark mirror that made her stare at her reflection was making matters worse. Much worse than the red colour would ever make her feel. " It's time Alpha." The beta said, his voice loud as if trying to draw attention. "A little lower would do. It isn't as if he can't hear you." She snapped, her hands folded across her chest. Blake jerked instantly, his once dull face brightened again. No smile. Just the neutral energy that everyone might be familiar with. He nodded twice heading out of the car. He straightened the rough edges of his shirt before finally opening his mouth. " Escort her inside the palace." A deep, sharp tone. " Yes, Alpha." The beta said, his voice low and subtle as he bowed curtly. Imogen got out of the car really quick, not wanting to be touched. The feeling alone made her sick to her stomach. She wasn't ready to give in to this sort of people. Not when her freedom was gone. If that was gone, something should remainーher stubbornness. She paused, her arms folded across her chest. She just stared at the Alpha as he strode into the palace. Not even turning back to look at her. Tears threatened to fall, but she remained calm. Sniffling. Adjusting her nose and letting the damp smell from the unknown fill her guts. She could hear the wind carrying her sorrows around. Her soul would fail to notice if she had just decided to do what she wanted long ago. "Please, follow me." The Beta said. His voice low. She looked at him, rolling her eyes inwardly. She didn't move. She hadn't intend to move. The moment he lifted his hands to touch her, her eyes alone sent daggers at him. Making him shift. " How dare you touch me?" She said, her voice was menacing and cold. She could feel the Beta's fear. That subtle scowl. His face was only masked with a tinge of cold embrace that made her also shriek in her stance. She doesn't want to be intimidated. She wanted to dominate. Her green eyes quickly turned red. She opened her mouth to speak. " Mummy." She heard a soft sound that made her paused. She turned, the rage that once dwelled in her hands dissolved in an instant. "Who was that?" She asked, " Funny, you didn't listen to me. But, you are asking who that was?" The Beta scoffed, Right behind her, the little boy hugged her tightly. Almost making her lost her balance. She staggered forward, grabbing the Beta by his pants. The soft growl from him made her jolt back up. Her eyes rolled inwardly. The stale scent from him had changed, it was replaced with a soft floral scent. Head down. Shoulders tucked. She stared at the little boy that had just bumped into her. Her head tilted to the side. A wide grin escaped her lips. Her eyes wide open like she had just seen something she hadn't seen before. " You look handsome." Her strong tone changed. She squealed. Carrying him up. The beta winced beside her. So she knew in an instant that something was up as soon as she connected the dots. Without countering, she followed him. Carrying the boy in her hands. " Yes." The boy answered, " What's your name?" She asked, " I'm Jayden." "I love that name. I'm Imogen. Call me, Immy." She blurted. They both laughed and continued chatting as if they knew each other from the beginning of the world. And Imogen was surprised at how social the boy was. No kid in the Fae kingdom would ever be this warm with an outsider. Not even close to warm. They would almost want that person's death. " Welcome." The voice brought her out of her daze. And that was when she realised that they were no more outside the palace. This was the palace living room. Glistening white. The serif designs on the sofa's. The grand white silver stairs. It all screamed royalty. " Your highness." She said, " Actually. There isn't any royal stuff going on here. We live normal like everyone else. You are the only royal among us." The woman said, The gown she wore made her curves stand out. Tucked around her boobs. Her smile warm, as always. Her sharp jawline gave her out. She was as beautiful as a young lady. "I'm Selene. Blake's mother." The woman said. " Good morning, Selene." Imogen said, bowing curtly. " I'm Imogen." " Call her Immy." The boy said, Imogen smiled at how jovial he was. And how free he was with her. She nodded in response to Selene, her mind drifting back to what this wonderful lady had said; they weren't royal. Those words made her mind jumble and hum with questions. Nothing was making sense. If they weren't royals. Why would her father want an alliance. Why would he betroth her to this family. " You should have walked her in, Jay. Why did you let her carry you?" Selene asked, " It doesn't mean anything." Imogen chipped in, quickly dropping him. She watched as Selene lowered herself into the white sofa behind her. Crossing her legs like nothing had happened at all. Selene turned her head towards the beta that brought her in. " Call your mate. You don't look good, Kai." She said, He nodded taking his seat beside her. Bringing his phone out. Imogen was sure he doesn't look good. His scent giving him out was something else entirely. She sighed, shaking her head. And without being asked, she sat down in front of Selene. It was time to ask the real question. " Why was I betrothed to your son?" Her voice was rough beneath. Exuding strong aura. "My brother is old and needs a wife. He is also autistic." The boy said out loud right before Selene could even speak up. " Jayden whー" " Did you say, autistic?" Imogen's heart has picked it's pace already. " My father betrothed me to an autistic bastard?" She growled. Her eyes turned red.
