The police truck with the barred windows and rear heating left at dawn the next day. It was the sixth day. Inside the back of the truck there were five RCMP guards, Errl, and a dog. The sedative they"d given Errl began to work and he sat on a bench in chains. He was very sleepy but sleep was not possible. The bench was hard, and the way they had him chained made sitting uncomfortable. The road across the mountains was rough. The guards drank coffee and ate muffins, and gave Errl a breakfast sandwich with ham, egg and cheese, but he couldn"t eat it.
