They took the body to the other side of the wall, through to the cavern where Rodin had first breathed the air of the Dome. Once the dead warrior had sunk to the depths, Rodin and Cat returned to the street.
“So,” Cat said as they strolled along, this time heading toward the centre of the Dome, “what are your intentions now?”
Rodin shrugged. “Information.”
“And you have some scheme that will enable you to uncover pertinent information?”
“Keep my eyes and ears open. Follow any clues.”
Cat nodded. “Just as I thought.”
“What?”
“You don’t have a plan.”
“That’s why I need information.”
“And you won’t discover anything without some kind of strategy.”
“Like I said, I’ll stay alert. I’ll investigate anything that looks intriguing.”
