Rodin was impressed. The false identity Cat had built allowed Rodin to buy a drink, to access various public systems on his screen, and to pass himself off as a resident of the Dome.
He didn’t push his luck, though. The subterfuge probably only went surface-deep. If he wasn’t careful, someone would see through the disguise.
Cat had arranged a room, had given Rodin the address, said the security was already linked to his new identity. He’d taken Rodin to another store, bought a screen, set it up. They’d arranged a lunch meeting for the next day, then Cat had departed, leaving Rodin to find whatever information he could through his own processes.
That meant walking. He traipsed across the Dome, arriving at the Council buildings late in the afternoon.
