Cat believed that Genna would come round to the idea. Her understandable dislike of the man might cloud her mind for a while, but she wasn’t one to succumb to her emotions. She’d see sense.
Now, Cat had to get Kharem’s buy-in too. Oh, he was certain Shae was doing a decent job of softening him up to the idea, but Cat would like to make sure.
He’d agreed to Genna’s offer of a room for the night—she might hate his idea and dislike his presence, but she had certain characteristics that would not be out of place under the glass—and set off at first light, back the way he’d come.
