CHAPTER TWENTY Homer Watson—formerly known as the superhero Barriers—sat in the back of the police cruiser, his wrists and ankles shackled together. Even though it was dark out, he kept looking out the window, mostly because he didn’t want to look at his hands … or what was left of them, anyway, after his gauntlets blew up and took out most of them. Ahead, at the front of the cruiser, the two police cops escorting him to Golden City Penitentiary were chatting among themselves.
