“Anyways, he calls to me through the boundary of his world into mine, and says he has a message for me. Strange type he was, his voice started high up in the trees, then the next you know he’s down at eye level. Up and down he went, and it was hard to hear sometimes but the gist of it is this:
“Williams is in Jersey and needs your help desperately. There’s a tunnel city underground, and he’s under attack there from a small magical man. The book is unlocked, and London will be destroyed by silver swords from the sky. Oh, and bring the angels.
“That’s all, I think. Yes, that was all he said.”
“You’re sure, d**k?”
“Absolutely, sir. I may be half-eaten by worms and crows, but my noggin is still sharp.”
