CHAPTER 9

905 Words
**Nadia's POV:** I pleaded with Madam Kalliope if there was a way I could be allowed to go train with the rest of the warriors in the training ground. “Women don't train in the Blue Moon Pack, all training and fighting are left to the men to handle.” was the only response I got. “Why do you wish to train?” I turned to look at her, though I had been expecting this question. I don't trust her well enough to tell her about my plans of revenge on the Blood Moon Pack so I had to come up with another reason. "I want to be able to defend myself and the pack in case of another invasion. I'm tired of running and hiding, wishing I could do something to help. That's just an excuse for being a coward,” I said to her genuinely. I could tell I had touched a soft spot in her heart, as she put on an impressed expression. “Child, don't have to worry about invasions anymore. No pack is stupid enough to attack the Blue Moon Pack. We surpass them both in strength and in number and we have the blessings of the Moon Goddess here with us.” She assured me. “Blessing of the Moon Goddess?” I asked as I couldn't get a grasp of what she was saying. “Every werewolf under the moon's guardians possesses the blessing of the Moon Goddess. Is there some kind of hidden blessing I do not know about?” I asked with curiosity evident in my tone. “I don't want to confuse you, child. As for your training, I think there's a way we could go about it.” My eyes instantly lit up at hearing this. “Really, Madam Kalliope?!” I asked, still not believing what I heard. I actually didn't expect a positive response from her. I just thought to push my luck and thanks to the Moon Goddess it worked. “It comes with some conditions though,” Madam Kalliope added, bringing me back from my thoughts. “You would have to wake up earlier before any other maid and perform your maid duties before leaving the building.” “The earlier you wake, the earlier you finish your tasks, meaning more time for you to train,” she added. "Only that?” It seemed too easy. “If that's the only condition, then I'm down for it.” “Good for you… as for your duties, you're assigned to be Alpha Damien's personal maid.” “Wait, what? I thought I was to be with you in the kitchen.” I didn't expect to be given such duties. My spirit doesn't just accept him as I feel like he is reaping where he did not sow. “I already have an assistant. Is something wrong with Alpha Damien?” She inquired. “No, nothing's wrong.” I quickly added. “You can still meet up with today's training if you leave to serve Alpha Damien his meal now. I'll let Luna Morgana know about your decision, so you won't have to worry about sneaking in and out of the villa,” she added with a wink. I smiled sheepishly, getting she was trying to tease me about my escapades last night. “Alpha Damien likes his with little sugar and no milk at all. Make sure you serve him his meal before leaving to the training ground to avoid creating troubles for yourself.” She instructed. “Yes, Madam Kalliope, thanks for everything you have done for me so far, Madam Kalliope.” “It's nothing, child. Just make sure to be extra careful,” she let out a smile that filled my heart with warmth. I hurriedly made Alpha Damien's tea to be able to meet up with today's training. “His room is located at the left wing of the villa, two doors before the exit,” I recalled Madam Kalliope's words as I hurriedly took his tea to him. I turned to the left wing from the kitchen by following Madam Kalliope's description. I didn't find it hard to locate his room. On reaching there, I found it hard to get myself to knock on his door. I just stood still not knowing why I felt reluctant to go in. I finally mustered up the courage to knock and when I did, I heard his croaky voice sounding from the other side of the room. “Who is it?” I could tell from his raspy voice that he still hadn't gotten up from bed. I went silent for a moment not knowing how to respond. I cleared my throat as I gradually found my voice. “I'm here to serve your tea, Alpha Damien.” “Come in.” I pushed the door, walking in slowly until the full view of the room came into sight. “Drop it there,” he pointed to a stool by his bedside. “What's your name?” He asked. “Nadia, my Lord.” I replied as I dropped his tea. "Such a beautiful name,” he said smiling. “Moon Goddess, for how long do I have to put up with this p*****t,” I asked in my mind. “You know you owe me right.” A smirk formed right at the corner of his lips.
